Metallica releases video for "Creeping Death" featuring fan on vocals.

Old video shows the band in one of their best phases

The year was 1998. Metallica was on tour promoting their controversial albums Load (1996) and Reload (1997) , and to gain more exposure, MTV partnered with them, where they would enter a warehouse and record a rehearsal for some lucky fans.

Among some classic songs, they also performed acoustic covers of Misfits and Diamond Head , and even a rare version of "Devil's Dance" from Reload . However, the biggest surprise came when James Hetfield stated that they were going to play a classic, but he couldn't remember the lyrics, so he invited a fan named Aaron to perform one of the band's greatest anthems, "Creeping Death" from Ride the Lightning (1984) .

In the video below, you can see the fan in action and draw your own conclusions, remembering that some time later the band gifted us with St. Anger (2003), but that's another story.
